Since its founding in 2013, Bakken BBQ has donated over $900,000 to local families and charitable organizations. The co-founders, Jackie Jenkin and Tiffany Steiner, along with the 15 committee members, have grown Bakken BBQ into a significant nonprofit organization that positively impacts the Dickinson community and beyond.

Start of Bakken BBQ

In 2013, Jackie and Tiffany came up with the idea to host a charity event to raise funds for Relay For Life. In just six weeks, the inaugural Bakken BBQ was organized and raised $40,000. The community’s enthusiastic response made it clear that the event was destined to continue.

What We Do

Bakken BBQ is a unifying event that brings the community together. It provides an opportunity for 44 companies to come together and contribute to the community through the joy of barbecue. Companies showcase their finest recipes, competing for the prestigious first-place trophies while demonstrating their culinary expertise.
